What you'll actually pay
Prices that day ran from J$350,000 to J$2,600,000, and the median Note was listed at about J$950,000. Unlike some older models, the Note's price follows its model year closely, so the table below is a fair guide to what a given year should cost:
| Model year | Listings (20 Oct 2026) | Median asking price |
|---|---|---|
| 2010–2011 | 7 | about J$550K–J$575K |
| 2012 | 5 | about J$675K |
| 2013 | 18 | J$750K |
| 2014 | 15 | about J$785K |
| 2015–2016 | 16 | about J$1.15M–J$1.2M |
| 2017–2018 | 11 | about J$1.55M–J$1.6M |
| 2019–2020 | 12 | J$1.5M–J$1.8M |
| 2021–2023 | 9 | about J$1.9M–J$2.5M |
The biggest jump is between 2014 and 2015: about J$400K for a single model year. If your budget sits right at J$1M, a well-kept 2013 or 2014 buys you more car per dollar than stretching for a 2015. The cheapest on the board that day was a 2014 Note in St. James at J$350,000. At less than half that year's median, it's worth asking why before you go.
What to check before you buy
- Know which Note you're looking at. Later generations include the e-POWER version, which drives differently and is serviced differently from the regular petrol car. Ask which one it is, and price it against the same kind.
- Ask for the mileage and the service record. On a shelf this deep you can afford to walk away from a car without either.
- Check the log book for the number of owners and any previous life as a route or rental car.
- Compare it with a Tiida, Nissan's other small car, often listed at similar money.
The bottom line
- Under J$1M: 2010–2014 Notes, with plenty of choice. See the under J$1M section for everything else in that budget.
- J$1.1M–J$1.6M: 2015–2018, the sweet spot if you want a newer car.
- J$1.5M+: 2019 onward.
